The SARA Network (Application Systems and Networks for Administrations) is a set of communications infrastructures and basic services that connect public administration networks, facilitating the exchange of information and access to services. In Catalonia, access to the SARA Network is provided by AOC.
From AOC we will provide you with the secure tunnel to connect, but to be able to access any service exposed on Xarxa SARA, you will also need the URL to access these services as well as user and password data. This data will be provided to you by each organization responsible for each service.
The connection to the SARA network is currently no longer made through EACAT -Via Oberta – SARA Network Access, but is made through the URL https://vpnweb.aoc.cat or through a VPN client.
In order to request the most appropriate mechanism, please review the compatibility of your Operating System:
Operating System | Supported access mechanism |
Windows 7 | Through the URL https://vpnweb.aoc.cat |
Windows 10 | By creating a VPN client |
Windows Server 2012 | Through the URL https://vpnweb.aoc.cat |
Windows Server 2016 | Through the URL https://vpnweb.aoc.cat |
Windows Server 2019 | By creating a VPN client |
Once you have identified the compatible access mechanism, to manage the connection, follow these steps:
It is possible that a new service, with a new URL, is not conveniently configured for access.
In this case, you must send the access request through the contact form, indicating the URL you wish to access and the private IP address corresponding to the service within the SARA network, whenever possible.
Once the request with all the necessary data has been received, the AOC Consortium undertakes to make it accessible within a maximum period of fifteen days.
